A Ropes Course – What is it?
Best described as a tree-top adventure, it’s a mix of green forest, beautiful scenery and ropes courses featuring obstacles such as tree-top high wires, rope crossings, balance beams and zip wires, all designed to bring out the Tarzan in you.
We have 13 ropes courses of varying levels of difficulty encompassing 120 climbing elements. After receiving a short safety briefing, we let you loose into the tree-tops where you’re free to try every swing, crossing and zip wire – under the watchful eye of our instructors, of course.
You don’t need to be super fit to take part either. Each person can choose their own difficulty level and speed at which they feel comfortable.
Especially designed for the whole family, the experience is one which allows you to get outdoors in the fresh air and offers up something for everyone – experienced climbers and beginners alike.

Is it really safe?
Yes. Our Sayn Climbing Park was built according to the latest safety standards of the professional association and we use a 3-Stage security system. It is checked and maintained on a daily basis. Thanks to the inbuilt security system, climbers are always safe and secure. All our instructors have been professionally trained in accordance with the appropriate guidelines. They will take you through the safety briefing, check you over and provide a watchful eye from the ground. They are always on hand if needed. For more information go to safety

What should I wear?
We recommend durable and comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting a bit dirty, and a pair of sturdy shoes. Bring something waterproof, if it’s cold or rainy a jacket and hat are always good to have.
We also recommend that you leave expensive items at home.
If you have sensitive hands then think about bringing a pair of gloves. You can always purchase a pair for a small fee on-site.

Can I bring my own climbing equipment with me?
Unfortunately, due to safety and insurance reasons, it is not possible to use your own climbing equipment in our park. You can, however, bring your own helmet.

How old do you have to be to take part?
As long as you can reach and grip at a height of 1.20m (or you are there with a parent), you can do some climbing.
From 8yrs and up, children, accompanied by an adult, can have a go on some of the ropes courses. Those 12yrs and older can go on their own.
Because of the security system, a grip height of 1.60m is required (1.20m on the kids rope course). If you do not meet this height then someone who can has to go with you and help with the securing of the Karabiner. One person can help a maximum of two smaller people at any one time.
Important! Children under 18yrs need a written consent form to be filled out by a parent or legal guardian.

Is the Park open when it’s Raining or Stormy?
Basically, we’re also open in bad weather – a good rain jacket allows you to climb without any problems as you’re sheltered under the trees.
However, we do have to close in the event of a thunderstorm or storm warning. You’ll receive a coupon for your next visit when the weather’s better. Coupons have the following value:
Cancellation in the first hour – Coupon for 100% of the ticket price
Cancellation in the second hour – Coupon for 50% of the ticket price
If you’re not sure whether we are open, just give us a ring on +49 (0)2622/9869260 or +49 (0)2622/7066852 (direct line for the park)

How is the Entrance Fee Calculated?
Other conventional high ropes courses charge between 30 € - 50 € per guest. In a climbing park like ours, due to us having self-lock security systems and the fact we can better utilise our full capacity, we can charge much less. Nevertheless, a climbing park is still a very well-supervised leisure activity and cannot be compared to something like going to a swimming pool. In the construction of the park and equipment used, you’ll see that the safety of the participant is always put in the highest regard.
